| According to Renney, that is what's needed. With 31 games remaining,
it translates to a (not including bonus points) 21-10 finish. Do the
Rangers have that kind of (.667 pct) pace in them?

Ugh, no. I believe Sam Rosen was saying the Rangers had to play .700 hockey
for the rest of the year and I was kind of shocked, but it appears he was
correct. >> Stay informed about: 96 Points |

Perhaps Renney was referring to that song, "96 Tears". That's probably
what he'd be crying if a) there were 96 games, and b) he were not a
robot.

Obviously not. But that doesn't seem necessary with all the mediocrity in
the league. Lest the top 8 should somehow just pull away dramatically. I
don't think that will happen. The Rangers probably need to get about 37-38
more points to get in. So 17-10-3 should be enough to squeeze in. In order
to do that they would just have to play hard working desperate hockey night
in and night out. Don't know that they can even if the season is on the
line. They've been surprisingly gutless thus far this season. >> Stay informed about: 96 Points |

There's no reason to believe they'll be able to consistently beat the
Atlantic division, which is pretty much what they'd have to do to
maintain any hope. I know I don't have any confidence when they go in
against New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, or the Shitheads (I'm
trying out a new nickname for them, let me know if you like it).
I know they can win one here and there, but certainly not consistently. >> Stay informed about: 96 Points |

The problem is, out of context "The Shitheads" could refer to anyone.
Hell, it could refer to the Rangers' defencemen.

I suggest a different name, like "The Awesomes." >> Stay informed about: 96 Points |

The internet is just a fad, anyway.

Renney's on crack. It'll probably be 90 to get in, maybe even a little
less.
