ATLANTA (June 1, 2006) -- The Atlanta Thrashers have agreed to terms
with defenseman Scott Lehman, forward Chad Painchaud, and goaltender Dan
Turple, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don
Waddell. All three players were selected by the Thrashers in the 2004
NHL Entry Draft. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Lehman, 20, recorded 100 points (13 goals, 87 assists) and 414 penalty
minutes in 187 regular-season games during a four-year career with
Toronto St. Michael's (OHL) from 2002-06. The 6-1, 200-pound defenseman
earned 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and 87 penalty minutes in
41 career playoff games with the Majors. He earned the 2003-04 OHL
Scholastic Player-of-the-Year Award and was named to the 2002-03 OHL
Second All-Rookie Team.

The native of Fort McMurray, Alberta, ranked fourth among OHL defensemen
with 50 assists and shared eighth with 55 points in a career-best 68
games during the 2005-06 season. Lehman, who was selected in the third
round, 76th overall, in 2004, ranked third on the team and led
defensemen in assists while finishing sixth in points, both career
highs.

Painchaud, 20, has registered 148 points (69 goals, 79 assists) in 174
games over three seasons in the OHL with Mississauga and Sarnia from
2003-06. The native of Mississauga, Ontario topped 40 points each season
and played in the 2006 OHL All-Star Classic for the Western Conference.

The 5-11, 185-pound left wing set career-highs in goals (31), assists
(34) and points (65) in 49 games with Sarnia this past season.
Painchaud, selected in the fourth round, 106th overall, in 2004, also
finished second on the team with 13 power-play goals.

Turple, selected in the sixth round, 186th overall, in 2004, registered
an 87-54-11 record, along with 12 shutouts and a 2.68 goals-against
average in 163 games over his four-year OHL career with Kingston, Oshawa
and Kitchener from 2002-06. The 6-5, 220-pound goaltender won at least
20 games during all three full seasons in the OHL, including a career-
high 40 with Kitchener this past season.

The native of Oakville, Ontario, posted a 40-15-2 record and led the
league with a 2.25 GAA in 57 games with Kitchener in 2005-06. The 21-
year old netminder led the OHL with a .924 save percentage, finished
second in the league in wins and ranked first in the league with seven
shutouts. He also set career highs in wins, shutouts, GAA, save
percentage, games, minutes (3,306), saves (1,516) , shots faced (1,640)
and was named Kitchener=3Fs MVP and Three-Star Award winner.
