I can see Belak with his arm extended holding the top of Avery's head
as Avery swings away at the air like a cartoon.
That would be the extent of that fight. >> Stay informed about: Avery is a genius |

Avery is the kind of guy who's loved in one city and hated in the other
29. I'd have no problem seeing him in a Devil uniform.

I can see that scenario ... at the next Rangers-Devils game ... has a
fight ... strips the Devil player of his clothes ... then puts it on
over his Rangers uniform to taunt his opponent ... >> Stay informed about: Avery is a genius |

We'll see..... Sean's actually been dropping the gloves and fighting as of
late. It'll be interesting to see for sure. >> Stay informed about: Avery is a genius |

Yeah, taking cancer shots at Jason Blake in the warmup was real Einstein
stuff.

Bullshit. I heard the Tucker/Blake comparisons after the game and
laughed. Tucker has many faults, but he's never sunk to that level in
his entire career. We're talking an order of magnitude difference in
class levels here. >> Stay informed about: Avery is a genius |

It can be like a "despicable-off".
Avery comes out of his corner swinging. OH NO he's down covering his
head.
Brodeur feels the air from Avery's fall swoosh by him. OH NO he's
down on the ice. Has he been shot? He's writhing on the ice.
Both men are now sneaking glances at the official. What a heavyweight
battle. Brodeur is now shaking like he's having a seizure! Avery is
kicking wildly at the air around him!
*later that day*
The fight is over. Both men are unhurt and untouched.
Avery: "I'm off now Marty. From what I understand, Fedor Tyutin has a
new girlfriend. Maybe I'll 'pay her a visit.'"
Brodeur: "Farewell Sean. I'm off on my own conquest. My wife's
sister is in town, and I'm ready 'renew our relationship.'" >> Stay informed about: Avery is a genius |

And there's a reason for it. It's his character.
> I'd have no problem seeing him in a Devil uniform.
Oh i would. He's been tossed off two teams for a reason. He's a
sideshow act. An AHL talent looking for attention because he doesn't
have the ability to play without causing trouble. He's no more then a
4th liner. Belak is right, someone is going to McSorley or Bertuzzi
him and whomever it is, won't be the least bit apologetic about it,
either. To have a guy on your team with an obvious bullseye on his
back is not good. Opponents hated but respected Claude Lemieux because
he was a winner. Avery isn't respected, hasn't won anything and never
will.
The only reasons why he won't get tossed off the Rangers is 1)
Shanahan holding his leash 2) they don't have anyone else that
agitates whatsoever unless you consider Hollweg running at players
from behind 3) he's only a one year deal and 4) for some reason Gomez
plays with an AHL talent and a washup better then players in their
prime with skill and ability. >> Stay informed about: Avery is a genius |

If Avery had any class he would have blown out Tucker's knee with a
late, low hit. >> Stay informed about: Avery is a genius |
