now aren't you glad they don't have a goalie?

All I can guess is that with the impending strike at the end of next
season, teams might be doing stupid things in the offseason for a last
chance to win a cup. Have't read the article, but what is colorado's
payroll looking like right now?

I know Roy is pretty stubborn, but I wonder if he would consider one more
season with the avs in light of these pickups.

And how much do you think it would cost them to get Hasek out of
retirement for a year $30-40 million?

I was being silly. I've actually met Paul (my sister used to play field
hockey with his sister) - and he's a really nice guy.

Tom Barrasso is still available. He is an expert in giving up four goal a
nght and still winning the cup.

I know. It just reminded me of that story I read.

They might as well go with Jim Carey. I still don't understand what
happened to him - he was 13-0-3 with the Portland Pirates, won the Vezina
with Washington in his second season, and then fell apart
(personal/emotional reasons maybe?).

At the time he was traded he was definately on his way down, and I thought
trading him with Jason Allison and Anson Carter for Ranford, Oates, and
Tocchet was a steal, but looking in hindsight ... I don't know.

Does anyone know what happened to him? Is he languishing in the minors, or
has he retired?

2 words: Blaine Lacher.

actually, i think that the Avs might be able to get either Potvin or Chokejo
before too long.

Even if Detroit doesn't want to trade Cujo to the Avs, i believe he could
end up there anyways.

Wasn't he the B's goalie of the future and then pulled some druken stunt
that got him send back to Providence and eventually suspended? Wait no that
was somebody else. Never can be to sure with the Bruins and their
goaltending.

I'll take Potvin far before I'd take Cujo

If Cujo becomes and Av I'll gladly help all fans out by putting a bullet
between his eyes the moment the plane touches down in Denver. I wouldn't
wish Cujo even on the Pens.
