The Panthers had more scoring chance on the Rangers power plays than the Rangers did. Miserable effort all night, except for the last minute of the third period. The 4 on 3 was the worst abortion of a power play I've ever seen.

Valiquette played really well. The two goals against were pretty bad, but that's to be expected from a backup. You'd figure that maybe the team would play with a little more urgency when they're playing in front of a backup, but that would be logical and this team is anything but. Jagr has to be hurt. I don't see any downside to resting him for a few games. He might as well not even be out there.

The fourth line gets way too much ice time. Scott Gomez is more invisible than he has been at any time this year. Marcel Hossa has played himself out of a job. Brandon Dubinsky would benefit from shooting more often, and not looking to feed Jagr.

I'm in a bad mood. :(

I'm pretty sure he's hurt.

Did anyone have to listen to the Panthers broadcast tonight? The new play by play guy they have in Florida is terrible. Like college football radio announcer terrible.

I like Potvin's analysis, but that play by play guy should just tattoo PANTHERS on his forehead and drool into the mic for 60 minutes.

Why are you such a Halliburton Hater?

Yeah, I did on the Center Ice feed. At one point he said while
reviewing a replay "Islander defenceman Rosival" He was pretty god
awful the whole night. The color guy had some moments of homerism as
well, but not as bad.

Anyone else getting a bit tired of John Gianconna (sp)? I am.
