Once again the Canadiends are just allowed to skate through the middle of
the ice and score on an easy tic-tac-toe two-on-one pass play! And once
again, Meszaros is there making a mess of things by not playing the man
except with a stick. I'm getting ready to just say blow up the damn defence
if players won't hit. I've had enough of Redden's stick-check garbage for
too long - I don't care how well he can pass. And Corvo is always pinching
up high when Richardson is up - YOU CAN'T HAVE THE GOALIE ALONE IN HIS END
TO FACE WHAT'S COMING! Murray needs to move bodies and the bodies to start
with should be Meszaros and Corvo.

In my opinion, pointing the waggly finger at two players and suggesting
that they should be moved is off base. It isn't two, or three, or even
four players that are cruising out there, it's the whole friggin team.
Mez and Corvo aren't rookies and they've played good, solid, mobile
defense in the past - but that was when Brian Murray was eyeballing them
from the bench. Now, they look like they just simply aren't motivated -
just like most of the other players on this team.
As they were trailing off the ice to the dressing room after the 2nd
period, I was thinking... man, that was some of the most uninspired
hockey I've ever seen from this bunch of guys. Then, Gary Galley comes
on and says "They've got to come out with a more inspired third period
here... ", which indicates to me that we're all pretty well seeing the
same thing. I find that it's actually painful to watch. They did come
out and play harder in the 3rd, but it was too little too late, and here
we are with another loss.
If they continue to lose this way, I agree that ultimately, somebody is
going to have to be moved. But the primary body I'd move would be
Paddock's. Get his ass out of there - the sooner the better as far as
I'm concerned, even if Murray has to step behind the bench and do double-
duty for the remainder of the season. Paddock is way over his head with
all this and he's just killing this team. As an assistant coach... fine.
As Head Coach... the guy is incompetent.

I second your comments, Paddock is not the coach for this
team, Pat Burns to finish the season in Ottawa. >> Stay informed about: WHERE ARE THE BIG HITS? |

Compared to last season stats wise, Corvo is
about the same, Meszaros better (+28 better!)
Meszaros 06/07: 35 points -15 .43 ppg
Meszaros 07/08: 25 points +13 .47 ppg
Corvo 06/07: 37 points +9 .49 ppg
Corvo 07/08: 23 points +10 .48 ppg >> Stay informed about: WHERE ARE THE BIG HITS? |
