With Axelsson and Kessel out Lewis' plan is to keep Bergeron at the point
and just use the incredible Primeau and Donovan on the second PP unit. The
effect is the Bruins have only a 1:10 power play out of 2 minutes with the
guns out there then nothing, and so they shortchange themselves. Lewis is
content to use this setup even in the third period when they are trailing.

Until some injured players come back or the GM gets off his bum why not move
Bergy up front with Boyes and Sturm, have the Savard line as the 1st PP
unit, and use Jurcina on D on the PP? At least do it while trailing in the
third period. The current way just helps the other team.

Lewis playing Primeau and Donovan like they are all-stars instead of 4th
liners (their real worth) is maybe part of the reason there were only 10,000
on a Saturday night.

Not sure how long he's signed for, its still too early to even think
about a move.
But if I were the GM and I was getting the feeling Lewis isn't open to
change but
maybe Marc Habscheid is, I'd seriously considered that move after a
decent
losing streak in the second half.

Lewis is onboard for 3 years.

To me, it's time to try a few callups - Versteeg, Krejci, Pelletier
deserve a look. It's mainly a matter of finding some space or dumping
some baggage.

I was thinking the same but the last time PC tried something (dumping Hoggan
and Brookbank and bringing Chistov and Tenkrat) Lewis just increased P and
D's time, and let Chistov sit. He now has Hoggan back - as if there was no
one else they could have called up?
