Boy, Detroit has the Wild's number and proved why they are the class of the
West. I really hope the Wild don't have to face Detroit in the
playoffs....unless it is in the conference finals. Even missing 2 of their
top scorers Detroit really outplayed and outhustled the Wild. And overall I
think the Wild probably played about as good as they can. They just are no
match for the Wings.Of course very few teams have been able to figure out
Detroit this year.

Final Shots on Goal 52 -19 Wings, again WITHOUT 2 of thier top scorers. I
am now pretty sure Detroit was really playing to Golden Gophers. That is
probably the most lopsided I have ever seen in shots on goal. Detroit is
without question heads and tails better than the Wild. Thankfully the rest
of the league (sans Ottawa perhaps) is in the same boat as the Wild.

Why is it the Wild are usually outshot? Even against the Rangers they were
outshot. This really concerns me and usually is not a good
sign....especially if you are consistently being outshot. I don't know if
it is talent or defensive breakdowns, but goaltending can only hold up for
so long. Hopefully the new year will bring a tighter defense and more
scoring punch from the Wild.
