OK, it wasn't that easy, but they got it done. Or better put, Nashville
melted down, again. That may be the stupidest penalty of the season, on
Nichol. I like that the Sharks didn't have to play perfectly, and didn't
spend it all during this series (hopefully Cheechoo can recover). Had their
PP been better, they might have scored 5+ goals every game. Instead they
got just what they needed, and tonight, they were just relentless on the
forecheck. A really nice effort. Congrats, to all of the players, and rest
up...12 wins left to go... >> Stay informed about: Cake |

The beer is indeed oh so cold tonight! Go Sharks. They couldn't have
hoped for a better result. >> Stay informed about: Cake |

Yes, great effort. Were unphased by falling behind and maintained
consistent pressure on Nashville all night. Used their size to
advantage. Forechecked them to death. That works wonders for this
team.
They do need to pick that power play up off the floor, though.
Now, it's on to Detroit or Anaheim. Game 5 at Detroit ought to decide
which.
P.S. My nomination for sissy call of the series: the "roughing" call
on Rivet for merely knocking down an attacking puck carrier with a
shove. That rotten call resulte din the first Nashville goal. >> Stay informed about: Cake |

Cake? I know their "Arco Arena"; I didn't realise they did a
"Nashville Arena" :-) >> Stay informed about: Cake |

It was a strangely called game, in general. The Ehrhoff interference
penalty was weird too. It was just two guys fighting in front of the net,
and the smaller guy going down. Then, the bonehead spears Ehrhoff's package
right in front of the ref. Look carefully, the ref doesn't raise his hand
until the spear. The interference call was tacked on later, for some
reason...
The Sharks can play anyone left in the west except Calgary. If Calgary wins
their series, the Sharks play the winner of Vancouver/Dallas. If Detroit
wins and Dallas wins, they play the Ducks. If Detroit and Vancouver win,
they play Detroit, which seems the most likely possibility. We'll know more
tonight... >> Stay informed about: Cake |

Yes that was too obvious and completely infuriating. Are they going to
call the game straight up or not? Apparently Betteman and his office
cannot decide. >> Stay informed about: Cake |

Last night's game in Calgary was pretty much wide open with only a few
bogus calls. It sure makes watching a lot more enjoyable. >> Stay informed about: Cake |
