Chamois leather grips ...

Hi all,

On the advice of a teammate, I've recently purchased a chamois leather
grip. However, now that the grip has been delivered I've realised that
it doesn't have a sticky side -- as such, how do you fix it to the
stick handle?

Also, what's the popular consensus: overlay the chamois grip over the
existing grip, to add some thickness to the handle, or directly the
stick shaft?
