I would love it if Chara was to drop the mitts and get in a fight just
once this year...at least it would show a little heart.

It ain't gonna happen. After watching almost an entire year of this
overgrown chewch, he's is an overpaided embarrassment. He'll never
become anything. I witnessed probably 150-200 giveaways and he shows
me nothing. I'd be happy to see him off the team but good luck getting
rid of his contract... Maybe he's dominated 1-2 games this year and
tI'm not even sure about that...
The only thing I may say in his favor is that maybe our idiot coach
who is the worst in the league and will also never be a winner, might
be the reason for him not dropping the gloves, but not the reason for
his lazy ass stupid puckhandling inability..

Apparently he's tried, but somehow he always manages to lose track of
the guy he wants to fight, leaving the guy standing by himself in
front of the net.

Guess its time to trade him for pretty much nothing then. Shake up the
team. I hope we get a good defenseman we can't sign beyond a year, a
third line winger, and a hopeless plug...

I also think Lewis is the reason Chara hasn't fought. Detroit has had
the least
amount of fighting majors for the last few years and it is clearly
part of their
philosophy, which Lewis has tried to impliment here. I believe Chara
hurt his
hand the last time he fought for Ottawa also.

Sounds like another coach & his "turn the other cheek" philosophy.
(Was it O'Reilly or Milbury?) But with all the dumb minors the Bruins
have taken this year, they definitely didn't implement it 100% !

It was Milbury who convinced Neely that he couldn't score from the penalty
box.
