Why did he get on Andre for not fighting Goddard? The Leafs scored on
the resulting power-play. Cherry also said the Penguins "feel good"
after this one. Really? They got beat like a red-headed step-child.
The old man is close to blowing the last cylinder he's operating on.

His idiotic implication that you shouldn't do that when you have a 4-1 lead
was so pathetic it wasn't funny. A 4-1 lead with more than a period to play
is nothing when you're playing the Pens. They can score without thinking
some nights.

Cherry is now entering senile territory. Hope the sphincter holds up there
Don...

Why do you have to remind me I have that to look forward to one day?

Deveaux wants to fight because that's what he does and because he wants
to get in Burke's good books and when I saw him turn Goddard down I knew
that he was operating under very strict instruction from the bench. The
coaches didn't want to risk a momentum shift and the fact that he drew a
penaly (that resulted in a goal) was gravy.

So, why did Cherry get his knickers in such a knot? I think it's because
he knew that too and was attempting to push Wilson's buttons. I don't know
why he has a carrot up his ass about Wilson but it's pretty obvious it is
interfering with his homer fanboyism. I'm patiently waiting for the subtle
war of words to escalate into something really worth watching and I think
it's coming sooner rather than later. Stay tuned because it is going to be
fun fun fun.

From the Associated Press:

Therrien was agitated after the game, and when asked about the
leadership on the team, he replied simply, "It's Sidney's team"

"There's nothing good to say. Nothing good came out of that,"
Crosby said. "Hopefully this makes us realize we can't get away
with not working hard."

Certainly sounds like the Penguins were patting each other on the back
after being beaten at home by the Leafs who, to be blunt, couldn't win
a Dixie Cup this year.
