Pitts game at the end of Jan. she just needs to get the tickets. My question
to you guys who live up there, what are the prices for a Gold, say mid or
center ice? we plan on buying them either online thru some ticket master or
ebay and I want to be able make sure she's not ripped to
bad......lol.....her money!!!

Losing my first live leaf game virginity...

Single game tickets for the Toronto Maple Leafs are handled and
distributed by Ticketmaster Canada and can be purchased online or by
calling 416-872-5000.

From ticketmaster.ca
-07:00 PM vs. Pittsburgh Penguins on sale: Sat, 01/10/09 10:00 AM
CA $44.61 - CA $401.51 (cdn=.8 of a USD)

Off the radio earlier this week - tickets were available for the
Devils game, but sold out for the next three or four. I'd rate your
chances of a ticketmaster connection for the Pens as remotely iffy.

Off e-bay - http://tinyurl.com/3pswv8

Nice pair of platinums for about $500 USD.

Oh yea, it's not just the Pens, it's Doug Gilmour night.

Jingle bells, jingle bells ...

Why not buy an LCD tv instead of going to see one leaf game? Or buy
groceries for a month? Or pay a gym subscription for a year?

Some other options for your 500-700 bucks you will spend this night.

If I follow the footprints right, Driver & Co are coming from the Rock
to the Smoke to stay n play, and they'll cap it off with that one
special night of seeing the Leafs play host to Sid n Boys.

Forget the cost-benefit spreadsheet; there isn't one. But if you grab
a song off Knopfler & Harris "All That Roadrunning", and play the song
"This is Us" ... this could be a verse.

Owl I love the Leafs. I however, do not love getting gauged. The wife and I
went to Columbus and sat 12 rows from centre ice for 140 bucks total.

Anytime now Barry Melrose is going to show up and announce how you
have to watch your wallets inside the arena. :)

My cure for the insanitum priceitis of Leaf games was to go watch the
St. John's Maple Leafs in a playoff game against the Hershey Bears a
few years ago. The rink was within walking distance of the office, so
I just walked up and bought a ticket, which cost $18. Good game, too.
It wasn't the Leafs, but I did get to enjoy the ACC.

I've toyed with the idea of going to Ricoh to watch the Marlies, but
so far haven't gotten around to it.

All of you guys are missing the point. Yes it is expensive to go see a
leaf game but if you are a fan you have to go at least once. Life is
about experiences and he and his buddy will remember that game and
weekend for the rest of their life. I took my son to a leafs game at
the gardens before it closed sat in the golds, took him to see the
last game between the yanks and red sox at yankee stadium. Did it cost
more than I would have liked sure but it is better than watching life
go by on your tv. Enjoy the game guys, I am sure you will have a
blast.

We paid a bit more for nose bleeds in Ottawa (vs Detroit) last year.
Otherwise, too rich for my blood, I either need expensive tickets or I'll go
watch an OHL game for cheap and close up.

And a house in Toronto costs two to three times what it would were it in
Columbus. It's supply and demand. If few people are demanding what you're
demanding, you pay less.
