Did the Yotes dump a lot of salary last season before the deadline? I can't
remember. With these recent signings does it bring them up to the average NHL
payroll? If over...pretty bold of them considering the future of the league. >> Stay informed about: Coyotes Making Moves |

I drove past it while they were just starting construction about 18
months ago maybe? Glendale, AZ, yeah it's in the middle of
nooooooowhere, surrounded by farmland. their very own cow palace. but
actually a pretty close drive to most of Phoenix, and traffic didn't
seem too terrible. anything to get out of America Worst Arena I guess.
aren't they supposed to build some retail shops, theatres, and such
right next to it?
go Kings

well it's not so much that they didn't make moves, they did
get a bit better i think. and it was the moves that they DIDN'T
make that impresses me, namely not re-signing allison, deader,
and carter. Frees up that much more to keep Ziggy and perhaps
get 1 or 2 more FA's

I hardly think the Kings are done, but I'm almost glad there's not
supposed to be a season as of right now.
if there was one anytime soon, I fear we'd be in trouble. we still need
two more 1st line players (at least a RW or resign Ziggy if you're
counting Frolov and Conroy as first liners). even then, we'd still need
a 2nd line center if we somehow can convince Zig to ever play for us again.
go Kings

I hope he reconsiders, but Ziggy has said that he won't play for the
Kings again.

Agreed. The Kings right now are no better and probably a little worse than the
team that finished last season. The reason they didnt make the playoffs was
that Ziggy, Deadmarsh, and Allison were hurt and they haven't re-signed any of
them (best not to have re-signed the latter two until they are healthy and take
pay cuts) or done anything to make up for their loss. The defense is maybe a
little better but that wasn't really the problem last season. The Kings had
better do something or they are going to fall even further. I dont think the
team as it is now has any chance of making the playoffs, the West is just too
damn good. >> Stay informed about: Coyotes Making Moves |

Did this officially come out of Ziggy's mouth verbatim as ya said it here? I
don't think he wants to play for the Kings anymore either, but as far as I
know; he's never flat out said "I won't ever play for the Kings again."
>The Kings are going to rely on Andy
>>> Murray.
By the way; Andy Murray may not be the greatest coach of all time, but he sure
is a classy person and tries his hardest to get the most out of the Kings.
Cazz and I and an Isles fan all met him last year in the bar at the Marriott on
Long Island and he took about 20 minutes to talk with us and give us some
insights into his hockey world that I don't think a fan would know without ever
having met the man. He does care greatly about the Kings' success and will do
nearly anything to try and get the Kings better. Like I said; it doesn't make
him the best coach of all time, but it sure does make him a very classy person
and we as Kings fans are lucky to have him as a coach. :) Jeff >> Stay informed about: Coyotes Making Moves |

so...share!!
haha I've run into him at Heathsouth once or twice back when it opened.
never really got a chance to talk to the man, he seemed preoccupied.

I can't remember whether I saw it on the LA Times web site or
Canada.com's hockey site or Yahoo.com's hockey site or RotoTimes.com.
But it was a quote from Ziggy from about six weeks ago, stating it
pretty much as I wrote it. I can't say as I'm really all that
surprised. If I had his skill level, I'd want to play for an
organization that was committed to being a Cup contender.
Unfortunately, the Kings don't want to spend the requisite money.
Things may change after the lockout, but I'm not holding my breath and
apparently neither is he.

Andy Murray has accomplished much as an NHL coach. He's obviously a
great motivator. But it's not enough to get the Cup to L.A. with the
current roster. >> Stay informed about: Coyotes Making Moves |
