DETROIT (AP) -Red Wings goalie Dominik Hasek wouldn't dress for Friday
night's game against the Chicago Blackhawks as a precautionary measure
because of some tenderness in his thigh.

Maybe we should sit Zetterberg also for a couple of weeks...

Hey, even if you're not Christian you probably know that parable about

Well, on the plus side, we'll get to root for at least one playoff
series, unlike some OTHER team's fans... heh.

Oh how you've been waiting to say that. Only thing is it's his thigh...not
his groin. Thanks for playing though!

Anyone who is surprised by this has been asleep over the past several
years. The Groinater has consistently been a regular season force and
consistently been a post season head case. Isn't that why Detroit
dumped him the first time around? Good luck with Oz in goal for the
playoffs...you'll need it.

Funny you should mention playoffs. Who's your favorite this year?

Try to keep up. Hasek retired after he won the Stanley Cup with
Detroit. This is Hasek's stats from his last five playoffs.

1997-1998 Sabres 15 947 10 5 32 514 1 2.03 .938
1998-1999 Sabres 19 1,217 13 6 36 587 2 1.77 .939
1999-2000 Sabres 5 301 1 4 12 147 0 2.39 .918
2000-2001 Sabres 13 833 7 6 29 347 1 2.09 .916
2001-2002 Red Wings 23 1,454 16 7 45 562 6 1.86 .920
Looks pretty good to me.
