Well Turgeon is retiring today - my question is how can you tell the
difference? So many stories coming out of avs-land..What will be the
legacy of highest paid 2nd string goalie in league history, will this be the
year fourth liner scott parker lives up to his number one draft pick
potential and moves to the third line, what is all this buzz about Lloyd
Carr being hired as a consultant to Queenville, will the mighty OZ finally
give Grando a brain, and for opening day...... will all the "We're Number 9"
signs and posters be ready? Lots of unanswered questions - lots to laughs
to be had.. >> Stay informed about: Crying eyes in denver |

what's detroit's excuse dipshit? they are just like the other 29 teams
that DIDN'T win the cup last year.
i'd rather have a team that didn't make the playoffs than a team that
overacheived all year just to AGAIN make another early exit in the
playoffs.

Hopefully, by the time the season starts, these sorts of rather
incredibly silly comments will go away. This doesn't have quite the
hysterical irony as that President'sCup-1stRound one, but come on...

Um, Kenny dutch had two $8m+ goalies and a $1m backup on the roster for
03-04.
Guess you conveniently forgot about that one, eh?
1st round exit that year, IIRC. $16m+ worth of goalies still couldn't
win you a playoff series, and your team purged an entire 2nd line while
ours added two of the three top free agents on the market, yet somehow
you feel that you can talk smack because JoeTed makes $5.3m and may not
start? Enjoy that.

Um, there were 29 teams that didn't win the Cup last year, Doogs. He's

Good point, who won more playoiff series? Cujo in Detorit or Theodore
in Colorado?
How much was Cujo making as opposed to Theodore? >> Stay informed about: Crying eyes in denver |

Ah, touche. I see it now.
Had he said "the rest of the 29 teams" instead of "the other 29 teams"
then he'd be correct. My bad.
