Of course, I was watching the end of the Yankee game and all of the
Sox game while
watching the B's. But what I saw looked a lot better to me than last
year's Bruins.
Except for the goaltending. I only saw one instance of real sustained
pressure by
the Stars in Boston's end. 18 shots allowed was almost unattainable
last year.
Schaefer appeared to be the best Bruin on the ice, but Murray did
nothing. Second
Star's goal was the real turning point and Axelsson was the goat. He
failed to get
the puck out of the zone up the boards, then when the puck did clear,
he lost the
puck before getting to the red line, forcing 5 tired guys to stay on.
He then got beat
to the puck by a Dman who got the puck to a forward who made both
Alberts & Manny
look like they were stuck in mud.
Liked the way Lucic played and the way he handled himself in the fight.
