Here's hoping that, if you give it one more try next year, your work
ethic makes it through customs.
Igor said his biggest adjuments were "the speed and the small rinks",
and added, "I need to work harder and get more speed."
Maybe he'll pan out next year, but he's already in his mid-20's, so
it's not something I'd put money on happening. >> Stay informed about: Dasvidania, Grigorenko! |

Seems Detroit is snake bit as to players with huge potential being taken out
by car accidents... >> Stay informed about: Dasvidania, Grigorenko! |

We were just hoping he could turn into another Vaclav Nedorost
(speaking of over-anxious fans jumping on a bandwagon too quickly).
Alas, it seems he may well have. >> Stay informed about: Dasvidania, Grigorenko! |

I'm shocked.
I never would have guessed he would be a bust. When Wings fans were
prattling on about him like he was a cross between Pavel Bure and Gordie
Howe, I was always right there with them every step of the way. How
could this happen? How could one of the most talent players on the face
of the planet decide to play in Russia rather than take the Calder,
Ross, Richard and, let's be honest, Hart trophies that were an absolute
given?
Boggles my mind.

Honestly, don't play that card. Don't make someone run off and pull
the 500-odd Av prospect names out of the Encyclopedia Britomica, or
whatever the hell it's called.
This is probably one you should just let slide. >> Stay informed about: Dasvidania, Grigorenko! |

Come to think of it, I don't know how Grigorenko didn't make the
roster. You'd the think the power of THE SYSTEM would allow them to
plug damn near anyone into that lineup.
For that matter, why in the world are they paying all these guys so
much money? Were I Ken Holland, I'd simply take 23 pluggers, pay em
all the league minimum, introduce them to THE SYSTEM, and watch the
Cups roll in.
I guess Ken Holland really IS an idiot. >> Stay informed about: Dasvidania, Grigorenko! |
