Another one of those efforts in which you can't really tell if
Lundqvist played well, or just benefited from the much better
defensive play in front of him.

Taking that many penalties was ridiculous, though.

I'll take what I can get.

The most amazing thing about tonight was that all the scoring lines
actually scored. I was fully expecting Prucha's goal to be
disallowed, simply due to the fact that the puck came off of Prucha's
stick. I think the ref knew it went in, but saw that it was Prucha
and figured his eyes must have played tricks on him.

He didn't really have to play well. Made a couple of decent saves. But he
did have an opportunity to let in some bad goals and he didn't. That's a
step in the right direction.

Through 2 periods the Rangers were excellent. And all it took was hard work
and tenacity from every player. That's what it takes for this team to be
successful. ho knows if they have that ability game in and game out. I
certainly hope so.

If this were the pre lockout Rangers, this would be one of those typical
games after a 5 game losing streak that has the fans saying "that's how they
have to play" and "may they are finally getting it"... and then would follow
with a 5 game losing streak. I'm just saying.

I knew it was in. And I knew that Prucha new it was in. I actually was
offended on Prucha's behalf when Joe suggested that Prucha turned away
before he scored just assuming it would go in. That was fairly insulting.

Joe seems pretty consistent when it comes to guessing about reviewable
things. He will always predict that the call will negatively effect
the Rangers. It's actually a pretty shrewd angle to take, if you
think about it. The odds are he'll be right most of the time.

I'm starting to think he's a robot as well. More updates later.

What a garage league this NHL is - awarding the Habs 8 pp's to the
Rangers mere 3. On top of that almost 3 minutes of two man advantage
for the Habs! Obviously they were making up for that uneeded long
replay that cost the Habs the game last time around. And wtf, where
are all the cries to castrate the refs for not seeing Prucha's goal in
the first place. That needless stoppage and replay could have cost the
Rangers the game.

Timmy :-)
