Unfortunately for the Rangers, tonight was the league-mandated night
in which they had to play eight-year olds for a two minute stretch, so
they're down 2-0.
1. Sean Avery needs to wait until the Rangers actually need some
energy before he does his little thing (assuming he plays again this
year). Of course, it must be a new rule this year that gets you 2
minutes for being punched in the face, but I guess that's what we have
to live with when it comes to Avery. Two great chances, then the 4 on
4 and that was it for the period.
2. No back check + Marek Malik = goal against
3. No back check + tiny tikes running into each other = goal against
It would be so nice if this year they actually took the step to being
competitive with teams like the Senators instead of:
a. Losing embarrassingly
or
b. Winning by fluke miracle
