This is just a bad combination that spits in the face of karmatic
retribution.

The Devils had no luck tonight, or they would have at least gotten
one. But they've never been a lucky squad, for whatever reason, so
who knows. The Bruins only significant goal was pure fluke city,
which was proof enough that it wasn't meant to be. I wish I had more
to say, but I don't.

I wonder if this had been a victory, would my heart continue to pump
despair through my veins? Probably. I caught a glimpse of myself in
the mirror today and was reminded of how horribly ugly I am. Hideous
on the outside as well as on the inside? Why, God, have you cursed me
so? Am I being punished for a trangession previously committed in a
past life? I hope whatever it was, it was worth it.

I can't even enjoy a certain team in blue finding a way to toss aside
a four goal lead these days. Will any of you cry at my funeral?

Signed,
R.J.

I will dance on your grave you joyless mass of incoherent
protoplasm. BTW, Merry Christmas, even though your existence in the
deep, dark, black chasm of despair will prevent any merriment
whatsoever. :-)

And you call yourself a Devils fan? <slap slap> Get ahold of
yourself, RJ.

.....Falling into a vertigo of wrist-slitting depression is a poor
excuse for surrendering a basic common value the precedes even the
most bipolar of mood swings.

Get back on the tractor and farm!

My dear Viceroy, always the keeper of the meek and downtrodden. Am I
but a lost soul in this hellish pool? Do you seek a modicum of light
in my callous heart worthy of redemption?

The tractor is so far away, and my legs are broken. Plus, the farm
has long since ceased any sort of growth. Unless you call the dust
and flith that swarms about the air, choking what life I have left
from my lungs, growth.

The Tractor is right underneath you. Have you not noticed??? You
swim in the mind of lost highways and broken dreams when right below
you screams the ground waiting to be tilled with promises of a crop of
fine new Stanley Cups. Do you not hear those screams? Did you not
feel at least a twinge of gloom dissipate when the Rangers choked a
four goal lead? Did not the Gods say unto you - it's still the same
old Rangers and in that you find a bouquet of joy on your doorstep
with a small tag in beautiful script with the simple "To Rainjacket".

Nay! Stop this keyboard withering, The Viceroy decries in the
seemingly endless dark foggy night. Lo! The sun will appear!
Ovechkin has sent you a message. Awake and receive!

So, who saw the Bruins? - Yeah, I haven't seen that anywhere before. The Devils from last year with worse goaltending and no defensive support whatsoever. Now, all they need to do is give up on aggressive play in their own end and play the box and 1, rally around Martyball......

More Bruins thoughts. - Why did they spend all that money and bring in Manny Fernandez if they're not going to use him? And secondly, Getzlaf just totally humiliated Chara on his goal in the second period. Couple of shifts like that, and we'll be able to trade Matvichuk for...

Same 'ol Devils PR - New building, new coach, new uniforms Same old PR. They just refuse to learn, don't they? In case you are wondering what i am talking about, i am watching a beach volleyball game on Fox and a summer league Knicks game on MSG instead of Sutter's press....

Former Devils - Last night they said in the Canucks broadcast that Brendan Morrison is the current *Ironman* of the league with over 500 consecutive games playes without injury. It's also great to see all the former Devils that have become team captains: Jason..

C'mon Devils - Let's show those Senators they can't legislate the score! Let's show them they can't pass laws to make our collective lives more cumbersome. Afternoon hockey. I love it. Would love it even more if the franchise that drove a 2003 collective stake in..
