Kind of hard to believe that the Islanders are 5-0 against
the Devils this year. Imagine where either team would be if
it had been a normal year?
DP was outstanding, and the five healthy defensemen (you read
that right) played their hearts out in the third period - even
being outshot 15-4!
Campoli left the game at the end of the first period with a
"shoulder" injury. Extent unknown. Playing without three of
your top four defensemen (Witt/Martinek still out) for two
periods against the division leader really put the guys through
the ringer - hell, MAB played 22+ minutes! Freddy Meyer looks
like the defensemen I thought he could be...
Now to rest for two days and hope that Campoli's injury isn't
serious.
