You mean Brisebois and Clark.
Yes, they would be adequate with proper coaching.
Proper coaching would have Brisebois in the press box and Clark playing
3rd pairing minutes, paired with a DMan who is more defensively
responsible and in a system that is designed to compensate for Clark's
defensive weaknesses.
Then again, proper coaching wouldn't allow a "play till you lose, then
you sit until the other goalie loses" system. Proper coaching would
stress team defense, to where the entire team focuses on limiting shots
and scoring off of turnovers. Proper coaching would have the Avs' PK and
PP units amongst the best in the league, where they should be. Proper
coaching would have the Avs 10pts ahead of where they are now, at the
very least.
