During the third period Drew said that when you enter the zone you have
to go for the net. Why then do the Sharks always go for the corner?

There so conditioned to pass or "cycle" or do something else with the
puck that at one point somebody hit Michalek with a nice pass, just
across the Detroit blueline, and he was behind the Detroit defenseman,
all alone, and he actually hesitated for a moment before deciding,
maybe, he should churn his feet and go in on the goalie unmolested.
Just that second of doubt gave the Detroit player the time needed to
recover and thwart him.

I actually laughed, it was so bad.

They're so conditioned to pass, or "cycle" or do something else with
the
puck that at one point somebody hit Michalek with a nice pass, just
across the Detroit blueline, and he was completely behind the Detroit
defenseman,
all alone, and he actually hesitated for a moment before deciding,
maybe, he should churn his feet and go in on the goalie unmolested.
Just that second of doubt gave the Detroit player the time needed to
recover and thwart him.
