Edmonton tenders offer sheet to Tomas Vanek

50mil over 7 years...for which Vanek has signed. Sabres have called a press
conference for 12:30pm (EST) today.

Wow!! I guess with everyone leaving Edmonton and Lowe having a tough time
signing UFA's....that this was their best route to take. If Buffalo
matches...does Edmonton get anything in return?? It's been awhile since an
offer sheet was tendered.

I think if buf matches then no Edmonton does not get anything, except for
fear and loathing from other GM's
if this deal goes down well see how the old boys club of GM's reacts..

there was a similar situation last year with filly and Vancouver, were the
nucks matched.
