I don't think we need "center, cheap, size" anymore, really. But of
course, others will pan the Lindros proposal for other reasons. Maybe
last year you could have sold him as some kind of low-cost dice
roll... but then he just went out last season and basically re-
affirmed all of the worries about his health, whilst not being
especially "cheap" either. I'd like to think we're kind of past the
pure "dice roll" stage of player signings. Lindros probably needs to
be in some quiet corner of the NHL where nothing about him would be a
distraction. Dallas was probably pretty good for that. Montreal or
Toronto, no.
(That said, perhaps even a year off would be good for him overall...
so long as he dedicated himself to staying fit and training during
that year, unlike the lockout year).

yEs, washed up, oft-injured, soft-headed bum. All Lindros is now. Put him
in the pile with Theodore. >> Stay informed about: What about Eric Lindros ? |

He`d only be a distraction (to fans) if he comes with a sizable
contract or he again spends considerable amounts of time on the
injured list. Picking him up would force Montreal to choose between
Lapierre and Begin, the winner would be shifted to wing, but chances
are Begin would be gone >> Stay informed about: What about Eric Lindros ? |

The only thing that would make sense in this context would be to have
him centre Daigle and Yashin. >> Stay informed about: What about Eric Lindros ? |

Yep, probably the first big name center to go *way* "soft-headed".

Nah, just the "sons-of-bitches" of Quebec, don't want to sign there. >> Stay informed about: What about Eric Lindros ? |

Well, when Lindros played for the Leafs he was mostly invisible and he
left for Dallas without much of a stirr in the press. To put things
in perspective, Chad Kilger was a bigger impact player for the Leafs
than Lindros was.
