How was that any different.... - How was that waved-off goal in Buffalo any different than the one in game 1 against the Rangers? Why did that one count, and this one didn't? By the way, VS. is terrible. Joe Beninati? Why don't they just get Rick or some other..

Scary good - More than

Teeeeee-mu Selanne! - And Hockey Town is stunned.

Team +/- leader? - NY Rangers website lists top player for 06-07 season was ... Marek Malik??? How the hell is that possible? Is it simply that he played most often with the top scoring line. Hopefully those in charge will look beyond the stat ... PLEASE?

Missed the entire game, won't see it on DVR until tomorrow:

Tell me how it went.

I only got to watch the first half, because unlike some of you REAL
Rangers fans I have to help my kids eat their dinner. The best part was
MSGN flashing a graphic about "Glen Healey" talking about Sean Avery. I
instantly realized what IommiIsIlliterate's job is.

I also realized firsthand how dangerous Newark is. I was watching the
game on TV and got mugged. Right in my own home! I'm never watching a
Devils home game again.

By the way, does anybody know how many points off the division lead they
are?

I see Drury netted two including the game winner and game clincher.
Maybe Renney told the team the playoffs have started.

Rangers scored a goal early. Devils rolled in a ball and potshoted all
night.
Devils have the worst PK in hockey history, almost give up 5 goals in 40
seconds, finally the Rangers score. Devils get Lundqvist down after a year
and half, finally score a goal.

Then they roll in a ball, because it's very important to linematch Jagr,
he's a defensive legend, you know? The Rangers roll in a ball, except when
Jagr toys with a checking line that consists of a washed up Brylin and David
Clarkson, more miscast than in the Youngstars game. Parise finally gets a
good chance with a minute or so left. Then they have 7 out on the ice
instead of 6 with the goalie pulled. Empty netter.

There's your recap, abut as exciting as the actual game.

He must have been trying to bank it off Brodeur - there weren't any
Rangers on the other side of the net. Unless he thought Paul Martin
was going to stuff it in for him...a distinct possibility...

Dawes was cutting across and he was going for him. He said it was a pass in
the post game interview. I'll take it!

I have to admit I've been thinking about it, but we need to get through
our house remodel first. But a DVR for this purpose is pretty pointless
unless I get a better job than dishwasher, because at that point I'd
also have to fork over money for CI to get any real use out of the DVR.
And, as you so eloquently observed, I'm a cheapskate. And I hate the
idea of giving even more money to Count Bettman and Der Fuehrer Dolan.
So, I'm ambivalent, which likely means it won't happen till at least
next season, if at all. But if I'm going to pay for hockey, anyway, I'd
rather pay to play in a rec league than watch another Rangers' season go
down the toilet.
