The Isles are playing better than I thought they would, but I can't argue
too much with the Sabres being 3-1 right now. There's a lot of bluster
about the refs giving the Sabres the Vanek goal the other night (it was
clearly over the line people!) or disallowing the Isles goal tonight
(Miller was pushed into the net with the puck, which is a no-goal per the
rules, and in fact there should have been a penalty on the Isles for
pushing Miller into the net), but they were the right calls, and it's funny
seeing people trying to re-invent physics or the rulebooks to serve their
own purpose. But even if you want to say that was a goal, Pommers scored a
goal with DP in net to at worst make it 4-3.

Close-out the series on Friday and wait to see whether the Sabres will play
the Rangers or Lightning. And since the Devs-and Lightning are tied at 2-
2, that one's going the distance and the next playoff game won't be at
least until next Thursday, which means a good amount of rest, but also
probably some rust.

If we play the Rangers, then both teams will be in the same boat. I wouldnt
be too worried about rust.

True, and the Rangers would have 3 extra days of rust.
