I like Frogren. He's as serious as a heart attack. Even when he's sitting
on the bench he looks like he wants to kill someone. Sort of reminds me of
the game face Scott Stevens use to wear. I hope he doesn't get sent down
because I think with enough time to adjust to play in the NHL he will turn
into a wrecking ball. It's just a matter of time until someone skates into
the zone with their head down and ends up laying on the ice twitching.

Frogren buys out his own contract... - Here's an interesting twist. Jonas Frogren used the signing bonus he got from the Leafs to buy out the remainder of his contract with Farjestad of the Swedish League. I guess he really wants to play in the NHL and prove that this is where he belongs.....

Frogren close to deal, Stajan close to signing - http://www.torontosun.com/Sports/Hockey/2008/07/05/6072336-sun.html "With just 46 points in 398 games in the Swedish elite league, Frogren is a physical shut-down defenceman who was impressive during the recent World Hockey Championship, going..

Preds to Kansas? - Just caught a news report on Y108 that said the Preds are being sold to A California owner for 190M. Plans are to move to Kansas City. I guess the Bulldogs won't have any competition... -- ..snork

48 Free Agents signed so far - 48 as of this time and date, and when you include the players otherwise moved in trades, that averages out to almost 2 players per team. How many rookies will make each team, on average? More than before because the teams will be looking to sign player...

Now THAT is a hometown discount - Iginla barely 30 and in the prime of his career signing for $5m - yeah, that's a hometown discount allright. The deal Sundin signed near the end of his... it sure isn't one, no matter what his agent or MLSE keep telling us.
