There are seven hotels you can view the Joe from in downtown Windsor- on the
river. Hilton, Casino Windsor (really pricey), Radisson three or four more.
Lots of restaurants and bars- about 40- within 5-20 min walk. Getting
across the tunnel takes about 5 min. Although every time we go to a game we
stay downtown after- usually Chelli's Chili- just for the atmosphere.
Hockeytown Cafe is a blast as well. Downtown Detroit has really changed.
Over 800 tickets available!! As of yesterday's attendance #'s >> Stay informed about: Game 1 - Stuck in a hotel |

Unfortunately I'm in Salt Lake. If I was there I would stay with my
sister, 15 minutes from the Joe.

Well I ain't in any of those places....I mentioned this already but I am
going an RV place tomorrow and look into buying a portable satellite for
directv. Since I have center ice/versus they will give it to me here.
Not only do I miss the wings game - I miss all the games....would love to
see the SJ vr Hickville game tonight but I am stuck again with the internet
radio broadcast.....oh mannnnn.. >> Stay informed about: Game 1 - Stuck in a hotel |

Now who is LOL? Have you read some of the stuff posted by your
avs-brothers in this NG? No matter - you get to watch the games. I
should have engaged in a deal in Canada instead of the states - at least I

My mom said they were expecting snow.
Shorts and short sleeves here today. Nice and sunny. Rained a couple
days ago, and that was a nice break from the Sun for a guy who went 28
years without ever having seen the Sun for himself.

But then you'd have to be in Canadia.
The only reason to go to Canadia if you are in Detroit is if you wanted
to go to one of the *good* strip clubs.

I thought you were the on that downtown Detroit was a cesspool and not worth
visiting? After the Turkey Day game at Ford Field we went bar hopping and
had a blast. BTW when was the last time you were in Windsor or downtown
Detroit. Was it pre-Casinos? Because it sure has changed alot for both
cities. >> Stay informed about: Game 1 - Stuck in a hotel |

Went to bestbuy today to look at this thing. Guy said it will work - but
he has had problems with changing channels - and he had the PRO model.
Said it worked fine if you put it on one channel and connect to view the
one. I have gone back to the portable satellite from Windgard and a
cheapass receiver (really took one on my TV in my bedroom. When the
satellite arrives later this week we will find out....I can also used it
when I fly into Michigan and tailgate at the MSU games. >> Stay informed about: Game 1 - Stuck in a hotel |
