After the first goal when Dubinsky had 2 defensive zone turnovers within
seconds of each other you knew it was going to be a long game. Then the old
killer right-at-the-end-of-a-period goal. They played better in the 2nd but
still ho-hum. I fell asleep in the 3rd didn't even see the other 2 goals.

If they want to go far this year they have to get that Killer instinct, and
not be satisfied with a win vs the first place club and then go out and lay
an egg, on home Ice no less.

Had nothing to do with Carolina playing a good game, right?

Good attitude, soldier...that whole "When we are winning i watch the
whole game but when we are losing it's ho-hum and i fall asleep."

Carolina is a 1st place club too, dumbass, one point out of the
conference lead. The Rangers didn't lay an egg, they got beat by a
good team. They took advantage of an Ottawa team that is in a bad way
right now, but they got beat from start to finish by a good Carolina
team.

I thought you were a REAL Rangers Fan. How could you possibly sleep
through such exciting Rangers Hockey?

The last two goals were absolute travesties, but they were pretty much
in garbage time. The third was particularly atrocious, as Jagr decided
skating slowly to the bench for a change was more important than keeping
the puck away from the player skating as hard as he could out of the
penalty box. This is right after Jagr broke Yet Another Stick trying
to take a shot. Are his sticks made of ice or something?

I guess they have egg on their faces now.

Do you realize that this is what we Debbie Does Downers have been
telling you all season? Sure, when they show up, they look like
world-beaters, but most of their problem is that they often don't show
up, and they're simply not good enough to win solely on innate talent.

What am I thinking? Of course you don't realize it. After the next
great game they play, you'll be telling us FAKE Rangers Fans to stay off
the bandwagon, because the Rangers will make the Cup finals this year.
Then, after their stinker soon following, you'll be writing again about
killer eggs and rotten tomatoes or something.

The Rangers had a lot more to do with last night's game than the
Hurricanes did. If you don't think the Rangers laid an egg last
night, you must not watch them very often.

I do spend most of my time posting in the Rangers news group as well

When you go into an opposing team's building, shut them out, have real
good PK, pressure forecheck real well and take advantage of the other
teams lazy mistakes that's called playing a real good road game which
Carolina did. If it makes you feel better that anytime the Rangers
lose, it's their own fault and not the other teams good play, then
good luck with that.

Wins and losses are decieded by who makes the least amount of mistakes
in any sport. A sign of a good team is taking advantage of each
mistake and making the other team pay. The 'Canes did just that.

Dallas came in and played a great road game and beat a very good
Rangers team. Carolina came in and played a great road game and got a
hug and wave good night from an absolutely terrible Rangers team.

If it makes you feel better that anytime the Rangers win, it's the
other teams fault and not the Rangers good play, then good luck with
hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Again, the Rangers lost to a 1st place team.

Again, the Rangers lost to a 1st place team.

Seems you are confusing losing to Dallas and Carolina the same as
losing to Washington and the Kings, which in that case, they would lay
an egg since those teams are not as good. The Rangers lost to two 1st
place teams that outplayed them and took advantage of mistakes.

I didn't agree too much with that assessment of the Dallas game that
you posted a while ago. Granted there were a few defensive lapses,
but I don't think it gave the Rangers enough credit for how well they
played. Smith just happened to be fantastic that game.

That's the sound of a completely vapid point. That's the sound of a
political argument that begins "I know you want children to die,
but...."

The Rangers weren't all that good against Dallas, but they were 27
points in 28 games worse against Carolina.

But, IommiSaidNobodyReadIt, so how is it that you read it? You are such
a FAKE Rangers Fan.

Obviously, on my dishwasher's salary, I can't afford Center Ice, but
from the replay it looked to me like Smith wasn't really that sorely
tested. That's not to say they were awful, but I didn't believe that
the Rangers played *well* in that game; they played well enough to keep
it close, and Dallas played just well enough to barely win. Smith *was*
good, I agree, but not to the degree that, say, JD would have agreed.

Then shouldn't every response to the real fake Coach be "Hurrrrrrr"?

So Keith, learn how to skate yet, or are you still on the 2 blade
skate and using the stick to keep balance?

BTW, i figured i'd save this for when you run your mouth. Judging by
that pic you posted of you and your kid a while back, he got the UPS
man's features. Time to have a talk with your wife.

I'll read anything about the Rangers.

We'll have to disagree then. I thought Smith was fantastic,
especially in the second when the Rangers poured it on.

Last year he broke sticks. So this year he went to a new stick...and
they break. We can put a man on the moon but we can't make a stick that
Jagr can't break. Is he like from Krypton or something?

This game is over already - Is it opening day yet?

BIG GAME SATURDAY 9/22 - saturday, september 22, the BRONX GRIDLOCK battle the BROOKLYN BOMBSHELLS at the Nat Holman Gymnasium at City College, 138th and Convent Avenue, doors open at 6:30, plus, an afterparty at the Ding Dong Lounge, call the hotline at 646-405-9803 for further...

1.6 goals per game - Wow! 2.8 is pretty mediocre. 2.4 is quite awful. 2.0 is absolutely abysmal. 1.6? Seriously... that just doesn't seem possible. You'd think the only way that could happen is if it's entirely deliberate. What a start!!!

Great Game!! - Sometimes this team puts crazy ideas in my head. Screw the gimmick shootout, I would have been satisfied with a tie. The boys are playing good hockey. Timmy

I hate this game - This is really unpleasant to watch. I just hate it so much.
