i didn't really consider the philly game as part of the road trip b/c
it wasn't out west, but if you throw it into the mix it does make the
overall picture look better-- despite the fact that the cryers are one
of the worst teams in the league right now.

the PP really has been struggling and cost them big in the SJ game.
hopefully they can turn it around at home.

some people might take exception to calling the ducks the best team
ahead of buffalo. they're both awesome right now; and the
pronger-niedermeyer tandem on D could give the ducks the edge in terms
of who's the best team.

too many penalties in general-- welch struggled all game and we really
missed eaton IMO (i hope he recovers quickly). i agree the pens were
coming on late, but the 2nd period was brutal, and while the PK was
admirable it was only a matter of time before the 2nd rated PP of
anaheim cashed in with 9 chances on a man advantage.

you can't debate the effort. they definately competed and showed they
can hang with any team. reduce the penalties and get the PP going
again and it feels like they can win on any night.
