I only say good things about Avery. The goalie interference call was
100% based on his reputation, and not actually running into the
goaltender.

Prucha and Drury looked good tonight, but Dawes is making me cringe a
little. I don't doubt he plays as hard as anyone out there, but he
doesn't spend a lot of time thinking. Drury did a great job to bail
Dawes out on the Prucha goal. Dawes had a 2 on 1 waiting for him,
overskated the puck, lost the battle for it, and it was only a great
pass intercept from Drury that turned the play up and scored the goal.

That line is changing when Callahan gets back. I don't think Dawes is
going to stick around the big club when that happens.

Saying that, though, I'm kind of excited to see:
Straka Dubinsky Jagr
Shanahan Gomez Avery
Callahan Drury Prucha

There might even be a stretch of time when all three of those lines
are clicking at once.

Yes sir. Bye-Bye road Blues. Special props to Shanahan and Tyutin tonight.
Much more entertaining than the game in Newark.

Great third - That period had to be at least a little entertaining for kovy. As moronic as the Orr call was, I'll definitely concede that the penalties that lead to the Rangers 2nd and 3rd goal were pretty bad. Not fabricated in the same way, just incorrect. Neither...

Great timing - So are the Thrashers going to come out steaming for their new coach? I'm sure our incredibly potent offense will be able to hang with them as long as the Thrashers don't score more than 1 goal... but after that, I'd think we might be in trouble.

Rangers were great - In Garbage time that is. Only seen the last period. Was Lundqvist weak tonight? Not that he has been the major problem so far but it seems most every goal against him this year has been top shelf. That certainly is his weakness.

What a great league - Five minute major for hitting a guy.

Let Down Game - After the first goal when Dubinsky had 2 defensive zone turnovers within seconds of each other you knew it was going to be a long game. Then the old killer right-at-the-end-of-a-period goal. They played better in the 2nd but still ho-hum. I fell aslee...
