Looking for a tape of India-West Germany 1988 Olympic tie - Hello everyone, I am looking for a tape of the Olympic tie between India and West Germany in the 1988 Seoul Olympic games. Great win for India in the Asian Cup hockey @ Chennai, beating speedy
S. Korea 7-2 in the finals. CHAK DE INDIA..Feels unbelievable after
the doldrums Indian hockey was in the recent past.

Now its real time for us to press for bringing back grass..and then it
is possible to bring back these kinds of victories against the hockey
superpowers: Holland, Germany, and Australia.

Hope this is a sign of better things to come for Indian hockey and
Subcontinental hockey in particular.

What happened to India at the Doha Asiad, happened to the Pakistanis
here.
Verdict: The astro-turf can only give inconsistent results to
Subcontinental hockey powers. Remains to be seen how India does
against the European superpowers on the turf. That could then back up
the claims for grass.

DREAM ON..
