DETROIT (AP) - The Red Wings say Jiri Hudler provides some

much-needed depth up front.

Detroit re-signed the 23-year-old restricted free agent to a

two-year deal.

Hudler had 15 goals and 25 points in 76 games with the Wings

last season. He scored 36 goals and made 61 assists during the

previous season for Grand Rapids in the AHL.

The Red Wings drafted the Czech Republic native in the second

round of the 2002 draft.
