Having been subjected via NHL Centre Ice to the STL side of the
Blues-Isles game last night:

I have always thought Ken Wilson was a little light upstairs, but he
must have really sprung a leak in recent years.

I swear I looked at all of the trades yesterday but I never saw where
the Islanders picked up "Airum Eshem", "Swen Boo Tension" and a bunch
of other names I have never heard suit up before with the Islanders.

And I'm really glad he found time to point out that Mattius Weinhandl
and Eric Weinrich are no relation, since I have been wondering that
for a while.

If there is anything worse than a moron homer doing a game it is one
that is so lazy and undedicated that he hasn't seen a single game
played by the other team this season (other than Saturday against the
Blues).

The great Dan Kelly should be spinning in his grave (rumble, rumble).

MAN! It's good to finally hear someone agree with me. ("And isn't
Vernon Fiddler an appropriate name for a hockey player in
Nashville??")

The combination of Wilson and Federko is annoying at best. Next game
you listen to, count how many times Federko uses the word 'So' in his
commentary.

Also, I occasionally like to know something about the players on both
teams, but EVERY freakin' time someone touches the puck I DON'T need
to hear "It's cleared out by the 29 year old winger from Slovakia..."

Phew! Felt good to vent, too!

Mike

PS - Weinhandl and Weinrich AREN'T related?!?!?!?!?!

Hey, how'd Brian Savage look in his St. Louis debut? I've always been a
big fan, but I had to work late.

I've said all along that Ken Wilson is a opinion-less moron. If you
thought the TV broadcast was bad, you should listen to his radio show.
God that is PAINFUL. I don't care if some front office moron thinks
"Oh baby" sounds cool, they need to dump Wilson.

Ken Wilson doesn't have a set of balls or his own opinion. I get sick
and tired of hearing him present an argument only to change his mind
and acquiesce with whoever contests him. Wilson is horrible...

I think Bernie Federko is pretty good, actually. Let's look at 2
things here: 1. Any analyst is better than Bruce Affleck. 2. When we
lost Joe Micheletti, things have never been the same.

I would like to see Wilson get bounced out of here and have Chris
Gerber take his place.

All things considered, Wilson and Federko are 1000 times better than
Larry Murphy and Grant Furh on HDNet.

No idea how Savage looked in his debut. From the descriptions, he
looked good.

As for tonight (Sunday vs. Calgary) NO one in a Blues uniform looked
good. Two bright spots were Sillinger and Savage. I know nothing about
Savage, but he looks like he's got some speed and some grit. Near the
end of the first period, after beating everyone to the puck in the
Calgary zone, he hit 3 different Flames on his was to a line change!

What are Savage's strong points?

Mike

When he's healthy, he can find the back of the net really well.
Unfortunately, he's had injuries (some nagging, some worse) that have held
him back the past few years.

Put him with someone like Doug Weight, and I bet he'd do really well.
