Why are you calling us a "jerk?" We are simply pointing out that
top-posting is a violation of netiquette and we are giving posters a
28 day window during which they can get their act together.

conversation between two individuals. With usenet you have to make
allowances for people who are joining the "conversation" in the
middle and who are not aware of the context.

reasons to worry about having my email and other personal information

There is nothing "out of control" or impolite about the way we point
out that top-posting is "bad form." And if we want to killfile
those who refuse to recognize standard netiquette, then that is our
business, and not yours.
