That was a damn perfect shot, use him more often!

Hard to believe, but over the last few games Laps has been our best player.

In Finland we have a prowerb saying: Hard work will overcome bad luck.
Sometimes you could think that getting born skill like players like
Bobby Orr, Guy Lafleur or Alexei Kovalev have been given at birth, could
be overcome by tenacious effort and hard work. Lapierre has shown us,
that if you work hard the luck will come your way. He was very close of
scoring already during the game (as was Andrei Kostitsyn during the last
seconds), and I believe that when he gets more confidence in himself, he
will take his time and bury more of the chances his line will create
with the hard effort. If this fourth line will find some of the way the
famous plumbers Yvon Lambert - Doug Riseborough - Mario Tremblay and
later on Bob Gainey - Doug Jarvis - Doug Riseborough had, the Habs
should be allright. Especially when Tomas Plekanec seems to find himself
and Alexei Kovalev seems to get some bounces and Andrei Kostitsyn is
using his shot, described by Guy Carbonneau as the best of the lot.

PS: Anyone has heard anything about the hot dog eating first line:
Higgins, Koivu and Tanguay?

Don't know the outcome of Tanguay's injury think, looked like a seperated
shoulder to me, but I'm guessing that the Habs will call up either Max
Pacioretty or.Kyle Chipchura. Maybe both with Laracque's groin still an
issue.

How long before we see a line called Max Pax Lats?

Quite a switch from start of last year, when he came into camp thinking he
had it made for a roster spot and was lazy. Now the dude busts his ass
every shift. I really like this kid.

Lapierre's in the mix for 09 - Grit. Glad we're keeping him on board. Read about it here: http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=240192&lid=sublink02&lpos=headlines_nhl

Shootout - Kovalev why? - So he shoots 9 times last season amd scored none of them so he shoots again this season. Unbelievable!

Shootout training - If the Habs are looking to see how the shootout os supposed to go, they should check the highlights from tonights Pens-Canes game. 5 goals on 6 shots and all nice moves.

An interesting thought... - We're all expecting Price to rip it up in camp and turn Huet into excess baggage. But what if he doesn't? What if he and Halak are good, but not outstanding...and *Huet* is the best goalie? It gets a lot tougher for Gainey to pull the trigger on a..

What's happened to Souray? - Obviously he didn't want to return to Montreal, but if he ends up signing for 5 mill or less and doesn't go to the west coast isn't that just a little bit embarrasing for him? I think he overestimated his value some.
