Ironically...the Isles lost alot of top-flight players last year including
Blake, Smyth and others. Everyone and their brother made fun of the
eccentric owner and the former goalie GM (Snow) they hired and expected them
to be bottom-rung.

However, they seem to compete yearly. They had the balls to add Ted Nolan
behind the bench last season. He is a fantastic coach that was out of the
game for (let's face it) racial reasons (Muckler and the old boy's network)
and a prime example that racism clearly exists in the NHL. It took an
oddball Chinese-American owner to give the guy a chance. Think about that.

Who do the Leafs get? A disinterested looking Paul Maurice and continued
non-playoff seasons. I don't like the Habs, but at least when their team is
not performing the fans DO NOT stand for it. Changes are made. Here nothing
changes. It feels like the Ballard era has returned (replace the old bitter
Ballard with the greedy teacher's pension brass). Expect a ticket hike next
season which alot of you losers will undoubtedly stand in line for hours to
pay.

Nolan is the best coach in the league.
