Hey Gang,

Curious on what you thought of the line combinations for the Rangers game.
I did like the Cole/Brind'Amour/Adams line

It is very nice to see a healthy Cole in the line-up. You can see how much
missing him and Brind'Amour was a factor last season. I also really am
beginning to like what I've seen from Markaov. I know it's only 4
games...but it seems that he was a great pick-up.

I didn't really dig 'em, actually. I liked the lines as of Game 1,
but with the Kid on Ronnie's line, and them not scoring, you knew it
would change. I just didn't think that it'd happen so quickly. I
also think that Ronnie's line needs another grinder on the left side,
and Jaro's not it. I'd like to see them try Murray or C. Adams over
there. I thought that they'd been playing well, so I didn't think the
major shift was needed, but Mo's the man on the hotseat, so he can do
what he feels is needed.

I don't think we need to put Boulerice and Tetarenko out together,
though. One's enough, and I don't think Joey brings enough to keep
him dressed. I'd rather see Jaro on that line. How about something
like this:

Cole/Francis/O'Neill
Vasicek/Brind'Amour/Vrbata
Murray/Adams/Adams
Jaro/Staal/Boulerice

It puts pressure on the Adams line to match up against the other
team's best lines, but I think that's definitely within their grasp.
The 4th line wouldn't be a checking line, so that might shoot it down.
I dunno, it just doesn't seem right to have K Adams out on the left
side. My guess is that there will be a juggling again on Wednesday
night, and it'll work because Pittsburgh's defense isn't that great
(sorry Adam).

>I did like the Cole/Brind'Amour/Adams line

Yeah, I was laughing with my roommate during Saturday's telecast when
either Forslund or Tracy said something to the effect of "Carolina's
second line is playing well, with Brind'Amour, Cole, and..." and he
paused. So I snuck in a "...just about anyone else."

Markov isn't the world savior that I heard some say he is, but he is
definitely a great D-man. I've got to say he's our best, even in
spite of the fact that Hedican is a personal favorite. He certainly
is the best D-man when possessing the puck in our own end. There's
just a world of confidence that he's going to move the puck to the
right teammate, and that's huge. I think he's definitely worth nearly
$3 million a year.

whack.

It's alright...Defensively the Pens are as poor as the Canes can be
offensively

million a year.
