Given the recent discussion about the Bills reaching out to Toronto
fans, we wonder why the Sabres are hooked up to cable deals that
preclude watching them in Ontario. One would think, after reading
the Sabres newsgroup, that Buffalo could use some discriminating
Canadian fans who actually know how the game is played. But those
fans can't see the Sabres the way things are now. Local network
coverage, that Canadians could watch, would help develop a Leaf
Sabre rivalry which is a natural, but which has never really taken
off the way it should.
Who has the rights to Sabres hockey now? What is their viewing
market? Is it the YES network? Do they get Sabre games in NY City?
cordially, as always,

They used to broadcast alot of Sabres games in the Toronto market when i was
a kid. I believe they were on the Hamilton based Channel 11 (CHCH). I
remember the distinct opening theme song to this day.

We could pick up the Sabres games in Toronto on Buffalo TV with an aerial
antenna. But Mike Robitaille came with it, ugh. >> Stay informed about: Local telecasts... |

Sabres games are broadcast on MSG, that is when they aren't on VS.
Sabres and Leafs was pretty much all I got to see as a kid until playoff
time each year.
