1) Senators are by far the better team. It's like they know where the
puck is going to bounce and are in perfect position every time. It's
embarrassing to see two Habs running into each other while chasing a
puck when they're playing a team this organized.

2) Kostopoulos ... what the hell was that?!

3) In proportion to the number of chances they generate, the top line
is finishing basically nothing. Ryder and Higgins have to start
catching some breaks.

4) Price ... reminded me of Thibault. Let in a stinker, made some good
saves, was beaten by everything that should have beaten him (as
opposed to stealing a few) and managed to let in goals at the worst
possible times. Overall, he had not a bad game against the best team
in the league, but I hope they aren't trading Huet anytime soon.

Someone perched on the edge of no return, I'd reckon.

Ya think its time they shook that #1 line up? I mean the boys are trying
but nothings going in.

More of pass first, think later type play. In their own zone they
often try to clear it the moment they touch the puck rather then try
to possess it first. Too bad they didn `t do more of that in the
offensive zone, I haven`t seen them attempt too many "one timers"
lately.

Ottawa's first line 12 shots on goal to Montreal's 6.

Ottawa has the best first line in hockey. Our guys have trouble
matching up.

Not convinced Higgins/Ryder/Koivu are a good combo, the line needs a
player with some size who can park himself in the slot. This would
open up more ice on the perimeter for Koivu and 1 of either Higgins or
Ryder. As individuals they are getting good scoring chances (other
then Koivu when he is locked into a pass first shoot as a last resort
mode). But nothing is ever sustained, they will get 1 chance then it
is back to the Montreal end to defend. They are not creating enough
rebounds, their linemates can take advantage of. The line as is can be
effective if they can take advantage of a fast break, 2 on 1s or even
2 on 2. But once they face a disciplined box of defenders (who hold
their positions, rather then chase them) they will not be effective as
a line to create scoring chances 5 on 5. The line needs a big winger.
