Well, Kevin Lowe is nuts. Verified. Now with his target Vanek off
the table, word on the street is his next target could be our very own
#9, the Islanders Regret, the Pride of Minnesota himself.
I like the kid. We all do. He's going to be a good player for years
to come.
But damn. Four first round draft picks. Eight total in half that
time. You want to re-stock a franchise's pipeline? There ya go. And
Parise isn't going to make Edmonton anything less than one of the
worst teams in the league for at least the next two years.
That means not only extra first round picks, but likely high first
round picks in a couple of expected strong drafts.
I must say, it is tempting.

Well, with that kind of thinking, you'd think Lou would be HOPING for
this.

To say nothing of the high first rounder we'd get after losing Parise,
Gomez, Rafalski, Brodeur...
That's right, Brodeur. After he faces 9,000 shots a night for 30
straight, because the other teams can just play puck possession
against us, and rip it at Brodeur at will until he pulls a couple
groins or so. I'm sure Weeks will be great, for the 50 remaining
games.
