Hello folks,
its been a while since I wrote a blog but being a Toronto Maple
Leafs fan and all I had to make my comments about Mats Sundin. I am
very glad that Mats finally made up his mind. He has been a great
franchise player for Toronto for many Years. Believe it or not there
would be lots shaking their heads at what I am saying. But yes Mats
was a franchise player, the heart and soul of the Maple Leafs for 14
years amassed a franchise record 1321 points and 555 goals. Mats was
also a post-season performer on the contrary of what some people may
say. He was the key factor in playoff series victory over Ottawa. Ok
the Leafs did not win the Stanley Cup while he was here. How about
these stats: Mats had 3 seasons with 40 plus goals and 13 plus seasons
with 30 plus goals. Mats was a great captain, a great competitor
(hopefully he will also be in Vancouver), a kind and honest man. I
disagree with 'Tank Nation's" opinion that Mats is a traitor, a liar,
and that he
should retire. I have been reading the posts and really churns my
stomach. People just sit back and watch the spectacle of what Mats
Sundin accomplishes in Vancouver. I'll tell you I told you so. Good
luck in Vancouver Mats!

Best Regards
Michael Grant

I hope he has good luck here, too. He's a classy guy. I'm coming around to
the opinion that the reason he came back is as simple as he likes to play
hockey and there's nowhere in the world but the NHL where he can get a game.
He left money on the table for the Canucks to make another deal and he's
gonna love playing in the West and, I think, not being the captain or the
first-line centre.
