Another piece of the puzzle should return tomorrow. Now all that's left
(besides Goose, who's cooked), is Connolly.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Look out league!

I know the PT isn't important in the big scheme of things, but it would be
nice to get it for once.

If they do get the PT it will be quite an accomplishment. Since Detroit
only has to play a home and home against Chicago to finish the season it's
pretty certain that the Sabres will have to win out to get the President's
Trophy. To do that they will have to win all 3 remaining games against
Boston, Washington, and Philly. It's yet another 3 games in 4 days with
travel in between. The last two games are afternoon games. Should be
interesting.

Not necessarily. If Detroit takes both from the Hawks (and considering their
effort against the BJ's on Tuesday, this is not a given), the Sabs can still
have one OT loss and will take the PT by the first tie-break (wins).

You are correct, my mistake. Will still be something though. I'd like to
look at schedules and see how many 3 games in 4 days with travel other teams
have had to do.

The Buffaloes better save some of their chips for the Leafs and stop
worrying about Detroit. The Buffalo forwards are too small to hang
in against the Leafs, who are just starting to rev their playoff
engines at this time. What's more, the Buffaloes have a question
mark in goal. They were warned that they would need Biron, but they
didn't listen to the experts and gave away Biron for a bag of pucks.
At least they were smart enough to see him go to a non-playoff team.

The Buffaloes would be wise to sit out their smallish forwards and
give Conklin some starts. Conklin ain't no Biron, but then again,
neither is Ryan Miller.

cordially, as always,
