48 Free Agents signed so far - 48 as of this time and date, and when you include the players otherwise moved in trades, that averages out to almost 2 players per team. How many rookies will make each team, on average? More than before because the teams will be looking to sign player...

Now THAT is a hometown discount - Iginla barely 30 and in the prime of his career signing for $5m - yeah, that's a hometown discount allright. The deal Sundin signed near the end of his... it sure isn't one, no matter what his agent or MLSE keep telling us.
