Mike joins CBC. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/story/2008/07/21/milbury-hnic.html

So TSN got the song, and CBC got the Mike.

This is quite logical. Cherry has to step down one of these days and Mad
Mike is the perfect replacement.

Enjoy!

Milbury is a moron on tv every bit as much as he was as a GM. He has
less presence and personality than Al trashcan
he was really hard to watch on the US feeds for the playoffs this past
year, I wonder why CBC went with him.

If CBC wanted more panelists, they should have just given PJ Stock
more time, and tried to convince belak to leave the panthers for the
booth.

Perversely, Al has presence and personality coming out of all his
yingyangs. Hockeytalkers remember a couple of things after the ice
melts - what outlandish statement Grapes made ... and what ridiculous
rumour Al spread.

Excellent question. My bet is on the realization that letting Harry
go was ... bozo. Once that word got out, Mike came in.

Mmmm, why not add PMaurice to the staff?

Butter this - why didn't they run a contest for the job?
