| I remember earlier this year mentioning that the current Wild owners
were more interested in making money than improving the team. I said
they would be sold and a nice profit will follow. Sure enough, this has
happened I think it is GREAT NEWS!.....provided the new owners get a top
notch free agent or two and then we can compete with those blasted Red
Wings.

Actually, I think it's good news, too. I think Leipold could be a
good owner, committed to winning a cup within the next couple
of years. I also agree that the Wild are currently one or two big
stars away from being able to do that. If Leipold is willing to dig
deep into his pockets to do it, the time is right, IMO.

Yes, we have a great core, Gabby, goaltending...a bit soft on defense.
But give me one good scorer and one defenseman, the return of Koivu, and
look out. Unfortunately we will probably have to watch another Red Wind
drubbing tonight. >> Stay informed about: Minnesota Wild Sold |

Yes, and it will be hard for Leipold to justify it if he doesn't try
to make some big changes to win it all now. The team is close,
and the next season or two should be the Wild's best chance.

Yes. I'm questioning whether I even want to tune in tonight or not.
I probably will check in once in a while, and if it looks interesting
I'll stick around. But I'm not very hopeful on the outcome tonight.
Detroit is just too good, especially at home. But, on any given
night, anything could happen in the NHL.

Soft on defense....that is an understatement.....
Johnsson -7
Foster -5
Hill -9
Skoula -13
Schultz -1
Nummelin - even
Plenty of room for improvement in those numbers. Only Burns and the always
in the doghouse Carney have a positive plus minus.

I hope you stuck around, a poorly played game from the Wild defense, and
again outshot by about 20 shots, but a highly entertaining game and a
win in Detroit. Watching all of the goal scoring...on both sides
actually, was good tv. The team seemed to be motivated offensively for
some reason. I wonder if it had anything to do with waiving Moore. >> Stay informed about: Minnesota Wild Sold |
