| Any chance of the ass-clown radio "announcer" being fired and a real
ambassador for the team that has CLASS being hired so we don't have to
listen to him scream like a 12 year old kid pretending to be a big-
time announcer?
MIshkin puts the ASS in clASS

Your radio doesn't have a volume control? Weird. >> Stay informed about: Mishkin gone? |

my mute and volume work just fine, and are to the far left whenever he
comes on.
HOWEVER. The radio announcer, as well as the television announcers,
are AMBASSADORS to the public just as much as the players; probably
more so.
What if everytime player x scored for the Lightning, he flipped off
the crowd? Or pulled his pants down? Or shouted racial slurs?
Yes I could turn off my tv or not go to games so i didn't have to see
or hear that, but that doesn't change the fact it's still happening
and people would say that behaviour was attrocious.
Well, Mishkin's child-like screams are embarrassing for the Lightning;
I can turn him off, but he's still there.
I have a friend who works for a sports station in NY, and he tells me
that Mishkin is the butt of jokes from EVERYONE in the NHL announcing
world, and that no one can understand how he keeps his job.
So yes my mute and volume controls work just great; but he's still on
the air waves and MUST be stopped. I think it's even a higher
priority than winning another Cup - get rid of him, then concentrate
on winning another Cup so that people will respect and take seriously
this hockey club.

Beloved?
I don't think so. He's a no-talent ass-clown and you people here are
the first I've ever heard to support him, which is in itself,
sickening.
He's mocked and ridiculed throughout the hockey-broadcasting world.
Enjoy listening to him though if you like him so much; I will continue
my crusade to have him removed. >> Stay informed about: Mishkin gone? |

I seriously doubt that our radio announcer (who is beloved here) has
*anything* to do with whether our team is taken seriously. I think
that comes from what the player do on the ice. >> Stay informed about: Mishkin gone? |

I rarely listen to him because I'm either at the games (STH since 1995)
or watching on TV. He doesn't bother me when I do hear him, however.
Same to you, tho, enjoy your crusade to have him removed. A bit of
advice, tho, is that posting hysterical complaints to Usenet newsgroups
isn't going to get the job done. I seriously doubt that the people
with the power to satisfy your vendetta (did he refuse to give you an
autograph or something?) pay one iota of attention to what anonymous
fans whine about on the Internet. >> Stay informed about: Mishkin gone? |

That's cool, everyone has their own tastes. I hardly think that
canning him should be a higher priority to anyone than winning another
Cup, however! >> Stay informed about: Mishkin gone? |

Yep, getting a winger to play alongside Richards, a couple of defensemen to
replace Pratt and Sarich, and addressing the goal tender position are just a
wee bit more important. I'd bet Mishkin is cheap and that factors into his
still being here. I much preferred John Ahlers, but Mish was/is Feasters
boy. >> Stay informed about: Mishkin gone? |

Cool...I am set to retire in about 2 years time and am moving to St
Petes. I am getting season tickets to the Bolts. Let me know where you
are sitting...I want to get a seat right behind you and be that guy that
everyone hates...you know obnoxious, spills his beer on the person in
front of him, farts, and most importantly wear a Montreal Canadiens
jersey to every single game and cheer GO HABS GO even when they are not
in town.

Fortunately, every seat within our area (our section & the one next to
it in proximity to us) is already taken by long-time season ticket
holders, so you won't wind up anywhere near me! >> Stay informed about: Mishkin gone? |
