Mottau will be on the team next season, this just cements it. I just
hope it's nowhere near the top four.

Re-signing Brookbank doesn't preclude him from playing in Lowell.
Hopefully. If he's on the roster to start the season, if Mottau is
getting 30 minutes a night... then I give up. I'd start sending out
feelers for anyone who wants to join the Fire Lou Lamoriello
Commitment Axis (FLLCA - pronounced Flicka). No pay, no benefits, but
you get to wear a combination short-sleeve white dress-shirt/navy tie
motif that is sure to wow the ladies.

Signed,
R.J.

Mottau earned a contract. Hopefully we bring in people to avoid him
actually playing again, or at least in a limited role, but he did earn a
contract last season.

He did earn it. He needs to work on his positioning and cut back on the
giveaways. He was pretty decent otherwise, but definitely not a top tier
D-man.

Brookbank was given another chance. If he has a good camp, he'll
probably start the season in the NHL, but if he screws up, they better
put him on that bus to Lowell.

This is sure to overshadow the start of the SC series. Kinda like
when Arod reupped with the Yankees while Boston was in their world
series battle. Here's laughing at you, Wings and Pens!
